Baby Devi's Newborn Session
When my client first reached out to schedule her newborn session, baby Devi was already 12 days old! Ah! *que panic* Typically newborn sessions are done before baby is 2 weeks old, so time was not on our side, and we had to schedule the session when baby was 3.5 weeks old. Not the end of the world, but I made sure my client was aware that we may not get all the cute curled up naked poses that she saw in my portfolio, but I sure as heck was gonna try! Expectations are KEY with new moms!!
Looking at her gallery, you'd never know she was feisty little thing! It was all hands on deck getting her into certain poses, and I vividly remember mom singing her favorite lullaby on repeat without stopping for AT LEAST 30 minutes, haha! But let me tell you....once we got her down, MAGICAL. Those rolls, chunky cheeks, and lashes are enough to melt anyone's heart. It's no wonder mom ended up choosing one of the biggest galleries I've ever delivered!
Towards the end of the session when baby was wide awake, I laid her on her back for some classic "mug shot" poses which are always some of my clients' favorite images. If baby is awake and happy, I love to capture all those silly new faces, and maybe even a cute little yawn :)
